Frontal speakers or the main speakers have to remain detached by the wall at least 50 cm; the distance between each one of them have to be at least 250 cm. The central channel, is usually placed on the television. It's really important to be sure that the central box is well screened! Otherwise you could magnetize the TV screen. The side speakers (surround speakers) one of the most important steps for any modern theater is setting up the speakers in your receiver. Be sure to measure off the distances of all of your speakers. Surround speakers to the left and right side, just to the side or slightly behind the listening position - about 90-110 degrees from the center channel. These speakers can be elevated above the listener. Subwoofers, are becoming more and more crucial to the home theater experience. What really grabs you, is the sound you actually feel; the deep bass that shakes you up and gets you right in the gut. A specialized speaker, known as a subwoofer, is responsible for this experience. The subwoofer is designed only to reproduce the lowest of audible frequencies. The perfect place would be in the corner of the room. Subwoofers come in two basic types, Passive and Powered but unfortunately good brand of subwoofers costs a lot and a cheap version has often poor acoustic pressure and audio quality, which is very important for a subwoofer. L'amplificatore to fully realize the benefits of the audio system a huge amount of controlled power is needed. We have conducted an intense analysis of demanding program material and its dynamic characteristics in order to balance current draw and actual output power requirements relative to the subwoofer system's impedance characteristics. In most cases, 5 power exit and a low level exit are designed to be sent to the amplifier of the subwoofer: - two stereo channels for main speakers, these channels are always operative and determine the maximum system power. - two stereo channels or one mono used as a leading of the rear speakers, these can be excluded and can have less power of the main speakers. (As written above, leading of rear channels can happen in mono or stereo, according to the type of amplifier). - the fifth channel is always mono and control the central speaker that have to play the dialogues and soundtracks recorded in Dolby Surround or Dolby Digital. - the sixth exit, as written above, is designed to be sent to the amplifier of the subwoofer and is often a low level, that is to supply a signal of smaller intensity that can be used to be sent to the amplifier of the subwoofer. We distinguish 3 types of amplifiers: Dolby sourround, Dolby Pro Logic e Dolby digital (AC3). Dolby Surround is the consumer version of the original Dolby multichannel analog film sound format (Dolby analog and Dolby SR [Spectral Recording]). When a Dolby Surround soundtrack is produced, four channels of audio information - Left, Center, Right, and Mono surround - are matrix-encoded onto two audio tracks. These two tracks are then carried on stereo program sources such as videotapes and TV broadcasts into the home, to recreate the original four-channel surround sound experience. Dolby Pro Logic is the consumer version of the original Dolby multichannel analog film sound format (Dolby analog and Dolby SR [Spectral Recording]). Dolby Digital in thousands of cinemas and millions of homes worldwide, Dolby Digital is the reigning standard for surround sound technology in general and 5.1 channel surround sound in particular. Dolby Digital is a highly sophisticated and versatile audio encoding/decoding technology. Dolby Digital technology can transmit mono, stereo (two-channel), or up to 5.1-channel surround sound (discrete* multichannel audio). To be able to make use of this technology it is necessary to have a compatible reader and amplifier that accept AC3. |
